Out with the old and in with the RAW

Wikipedia describes Raw veganism as 'diet which combines veganism and raw foodism. It excludes all food of animal origin, and all food cooked above 48 degrees Celsius (118 degrees Fahrenheit).

And that is exactly what I intend to do for the upcoming 365 days, beginning from January 01 2010. Yes, I know. You may think that it's extreme, stupid and lacks purpose. But when was the last time YOU challenged yourself to do something and stuck by it? Nevertheless for 365 days?!

Without further due, I present to you myself:

I am a 22 year old Financial Analyst who goes by the name Aisha (aka. Isaac). I am also a vegan and striving humanitarian and environmentalist. Though some may describe me as hard-headed, obsessive and just plain old weird, others consider me helpful, kind and quite driven.

The reason behind this is to gain a sense of challenge while acquiring health and rebirth. Throughout the following 365 days, I will document this experience including what I eat, how I feel, how much I weigh and any other symptoms that come along with it.

Tomorrow, I will go get myself checked in order to document the BEFORE results.

So it's Four days till the new year and I'm psyched!

Cheers,
Aisha (aka. Isaac)
xoxo

  2. Hey Isaac,
Well all the best for your Challenge. Frankly I do not see it to be too hard, considering the fact that I'm a pure vegetarian myself and that too since birth. Its all in the mind, and I’m sure you would be successful.
But one q - Is this kind of a self achievement test and for you to talk about it to your friends that you could do something like this OR do you really believe in being a Vegan on humanitarian grounds?
    ANYWZZ ALL THE BEST!!!

  3. Hey Astro,

I've already stated that I'm a striving humanitarian and environmentalist.

I do believe that using fossil fuels in general (including cooking) is harmful for the environment.

As I'm already vegan, I'm trying to take it to the next level and see how much one individual can do to reduce their carbon footprint.

Thank you for your comment and encouraging wishes.

  4. First of all, its very refreshing to see that someone is challenging themselves and going thru with it. Even though its not my area of expertise, I must say, I think ur remarkable for doing it because of those reasons (humanitarian and environmentalist)... Its a beautiful way to pay back to our country and environment... Ur setting a great example and I hope many people follow thru ur footsteps. Best of Luck..
