Day 9: Can you stay up for the weekend.. till next year

I wonder what it would be like if we didn’t have weekends whatsoever and just worked like busy bees until we retire. Well, I for one wouldn’t have weekend withdrawal symptoms like I normally do after every weekend. That is my main concern today, dreading tomorrow and that moment that I’ll let my snooze button take the best me.

Brushing those thoughts away, I went to the gym around noon with my brother and spent my usual hour. I also had my now favorite; fresh carrot juice with a stick of celery and an orange for breakfast.
Fast-forwarding to today’s highlight; I went to the Avenues with a friend and decided to try the salads at Napket. Napket is one of my favorite restaurants for vegan food with their delicious wraps like the Credit Crunch (Falafel wrap) and the Mexican Wrap.

Today however, I was there as a raw vegan and was delighted to find that I could make my own salad at the salad bar. I selected a mix of lettuce and rocket leaves and added avocados, mixed peppers, sun-dried tomatoes and sprouts, all drenched in a mix of lemon, olive oil and a pint of vinegar dressing. It was fabulous!

Tomorrow, I intend to take my 101 list seriously and tick off a couple of easy to-dos off the list.

  2. It's vegan but it isn't raw. I can't eat any cooked food.
