I must say, I was very biased before I even watched the movie. Judging from the trailer, I thought the whole 'being in another body' was so Surrogate (2009), while the whole 'Civil, English-speaking people' invading 'the new world' was so Pocahontas (1595, 1995, 2005, etc.).
Watching the movie was a completely different story! I loved it!
I don't know if it's me getting back in touch with the mother of all selves; Mother Earth, but "I see you".
It's definitely a must see movie, and I'm glad it surpassed the Titanic. It holds so many hidden messages like 'going back to the dying world' and so forth.

the best thing about the movie (besides the cinematography of course) are the underlying themes!

Avatar was hyped by lots of advertisements and pushed down people's "virtual" throats. Titanic didn't undergo such violent campaigns!
ReplyDeleteI can count the number of watchable movies in 2009 on a single hand. If it doesn't have a good plot, it's not worth watching.
